PURPOSE: A workbench for installing a ferroconcrete barrier steel wire cable of a reactor and an installing method using the same are provided to improve work efficiency by simultaneously inserting and tensioning two steel wire cables. CONSTITUTION: A tensioning device positioning unit(3) and an inserting device positioning unit(4) are formed on both sides of a main body(5). A safety rail(6) is perpendicularly formed on the edge of the main body to prevent a worker from falling. An auxiliary footplate is formed on both sides of a protrusion groove of the main body. The auxiliary footplate removes a gap between the ferroconcrete barrier and the main body. A height control device(8) is arranged under the tensioning device positioning unit and lifts the tensioning device positioning unit corresponding to the installation gap of the steel wire cable.
