PURPOSE: An in-situ capping treatment device of contaminated marine sediments using a composite material mat is provided to prevent the elution of contaminants from the sediments. CONSTITUTION: An in-situ capping treatment device of contaminated marine sediments covers the upper side of the sediments with a composite material mat. The composite material mat is formed by inserting a composite material including magnesium hydroxide, apatite, and zeolite in between a geosmat and a geosfilter. The lower surface of the composite material mat contacting the sediments is the geosmat. The upper surface of the composite material mat contacting the water is the geosfilter.
