A construction structure and a construction method of a retaining wall are provided to construct a retaining wall by forming a separate retaining wall block body and connecting the retaining wall blocks easily, to construct a retaining wall strongly and stably on a forest road of a steep gradient and curved topography, etc., to have a more environment-friendly effect, and to extend the functionality of a retaining wall by coupling a side ditch for road drainage. A retaining wall construction structure comprises a frame body(10) coupled with a metallic beam(11) in the form of connecting faces of a hexahedron, a joint(20) formed to be projected to two sides and the upper side or the lower side of the frame body, and a finishing portion(30), wherein many retaining wall block bodies are installed closely to the slope ground by coupling the joints of the adjacent retaining wall block bodies.
