PURPOSE: A fire engine pump system and a fire engine pump driving method using the same are provided, which charges a charge unit using the solar energy obtained through a solar energy concentration part. CONSTITUTION: A fire engine pump system comprises: a pump(20) pumping fire-extinguishing water; a power unit(10) which is connected to the pump and supplies power to the pump; a charge unit(50) supplying the electrical energy for operating the power unit to the power unit; a light-collecting unit(60) which is connected to the charge unit and charges the charge unit by collecting solar energy; and a controller(30) which is connected to the charge unit and controls so that power of the charge unit can be maintained in normal state.
