How to automatically recommend customized IP programs using collaborative filtering

PURPOSE: A method of automatically recommending a user custom type iptv program using cooperation filtering is provided to perform cooperation filtering about a program watching history data of watcher group which has similar watching preference with a recommended target viewer and watching history data of the recommended target viewer and recommend a broadcasting program contents to a IPTV terminal in high priority and recommendation ranking, thereby a user can select a program much easier. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of viewers is grouped in a one or more similar viewer group unit(SA1). One or more similar viewer group among the similar viewer groups is selected about logged-in viewer(SA2,SA3). A recommended candidate programs are selected by cooperative filtering about program viewing history data of the selected similar viewer groups and cooperative filtering about the history data of the viewer(SA4,SA5). One or more recommendation program of high recommendation ranking is recommended(SA6,SA7).
