PURPOSE: A real time PCR for detecting human corona virus(HCoV)-HKU1 is provided to quickly detect polymerase gene of HCoV-HKU1 polymerase with high sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: A human corona virus(HCoV)-HKU1 is detected by real time PCR using Pol 1a and Pol 1b gene of HCoV-HKU1. A forward primer for detecting Pol 1a gene contains a sequence of sequence number 1, reverse primer has a sequence of sequence number 2, and probe has a sequence of sequence number 3. A method for detecting HCoV-HKU1 comprises: a step of obtaining nucleic acid from clinical sample; a step of performing real time PCR; and a step of confirming Pol 1a and Pol 1b gene from the PCR product.
