PURPOSE: A Telephone for the internet and the method for voice communication using the telephone for the internet are provided to use the telephone for the internet as a master if an external device is connected to the telephone for the internet, thereby controlling an external device. CONSTITUTION: An information storing unit(11) stores voice communication identification information of telephone for the internet(10). According to an external device interface unit(15) and connection of the external device, an external device control unit(14) controls the download of stored voice communication identification information to the external device or the upload of stored voice communication identification information to the information storing unit. A power supply unit(12) supplies the power to the external device through the external device interface unit.
