Manufacturing process of PAN precursor fiber for carbon fiber manufacturing and method for removing alkali and alkaline earth metal impurities

PURPOSE: A method for preparing PAN precursor fiber and a method for removing alkali and alkaline earth metal impurities are provided to obtain PAN precursor fiber which is proper to fabricate carbon fiber with low thermal conductivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for preparing PAN precursor fiber for fabricating carbon fiber comprise a step of water system suspended matter polymerization of main monomer ingredients with acrylonitrile and copolymer ingredients. A method for removing alkali and alkaline earth metal impurities is performed by passing aggregated filament through washing bath.
