GIRDER FOR AN I-SHAPED CONCRETE FILLED STEEL TUBE, HAVING ENHANCED BENDING STIFFNESS REDUCING THE AMOUNT OF CONCRETE

PURPOSE: A girder for an I-shaped concrete filled steel tube is provided to reduce material cost and weight since the amount of concrete can be decreased without decrease of bending stiffness.;CONSTITUTION: A girder for an I-shaped concrete filled steel tube comprises a steel tube(2), barriers(3) and a concrete filling unit(4). The barriers are respectively formed on the left and right in the steel tube. The barriers are formed along the longitudinal direction of the steel tube. The upper and lower ends of the barrier are fixed to the steel tube. Concrete is filled in the concrete filling unit which is formed between the barriers. For the cross section of the concrete filling unit to have an "I" shape, the cross section of the barrier is protruded toward the center.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2011
