Load Cell for Displacement Water Level Transmitter

PURPOSE: A road cell for a displacement type level transmitter is provided to be used for indicating a liquid level in a condensate tank connected to the turbine of a thermal power station. CONSTITUTION: A road cell for a displacement type level transmitter comprises a displacer(1), a torsion bar(2), a strain gauge(3), a wheaston bridge circuit, a temperature sensor(12), and a host computer. Buoyancy is applied to the displacer. The torsion bar generates stress by the buoyancy applied to the displacer. The strain gauge measures a strain rate depending on the generated stress. The wheastone bridge circuit converts the measured strain rate into an electric signal. The host computer measures a water level change in a tank by amplifying the electric signal and converting the amplified electric signal into digital data.
