Infrared ear thermometer probe cover and manufacturing method thereof

PURPOSE: A probe cover for an infrared clinical thermometer of in-the-ear type and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to enhance tactility since a cover film, which makes contact with the inner surface of an ear, is formed from a polyethylene material, which has high penetrability and a soft property. CONSTITUTION: A probe cover for an infrared clinical thermometer of in-the-ear type comprises a cover film(110) and a flange(130). One end of the cover film is open to form an internal space so that it is covered by a probe. The cover film is formed from a first plastic material of high permeability. The flange surrounds the perimeter of the open end of the cover film. The flange maintains the open end of the cover film to have a circle shape. The flange is formed from a second plastic material, which is harder than the first plastic material. Polyethylene is used as the first plastic material.
