SNOW-DEPTH GAUGE WHICH IS ABLE TO MEASURE SNOW WEIGHT

PURPOSE: A snow-depth gauge for measuring the weight of snow is provided to increase the reliability of the snow-depth gauge by immediately verifying the malfunction of a catch funnel heater based on the temperature of the catch funnel heater. CONSTITUTION: A catch funnel(20) collects snow. A heater(21) is attached to the catch funnel. A catch funnel temperature sensor(22) monitors the operational state of the heater. A flux buffer(11) is located at the lower side of the catch funnel and reduces the flux of snow water drained from the catch funnel. A moisture sensor(30) is installed in the catch funnel. A moisture sensor heater(31) evaporates the moisture of the moisture sensor. A measuring cup(12) is overturned by the snow water from the flux buffer. Permanent magnet(13) moves according to the overturn of the measuring cup. A lead switch(14) generates a pulse signal by the permanent magnet.
