FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to storage and filling volatile products and can be used in the oil refining and chemical industry and bases for storage and reshipping oxygen-containing high-octane additives - methyl-tert-butyl and ethyl-tert-butyl ethers. The method is realised on an apparatus consisting of an absorber into which the vapour-air mixture of the ether is fed, a cooler, heat exchangers, pumps, inlet and outlet pipes for the absorbent, vapour-air mixture and cleaned air, automation apparatus comprising valves and sensors, and an automatic control unit. When cleaning the vapour-air mixture from methyl-tert-butyl ether, the absorbent used is methyl-tert-butyl ether or methanol, and ethyl-tert-butyl ether or ethanol when cleaning the vapour-air mixture from ethyl-tert-butyl ether. The absorbent is cooled in the container to temperature between (-5) and (-15)°C. Excess saturated absorbent of methyl-tert-butyl ether or ethyl-tert-butyl ether is discharged from the reservoir for filling ether without additional desorption.;EFFECT: invention enables complete trapping of ethers, reduces loss of end products, reduces operational costs and reduces metal consumption.;3 cl, 1 tbl, 2 dwg
