FIELD: mining.;SUBSTANCE: method to arrange openings in outburst-prone seams includes formation of an unloading cavity with an irreducible outstripping of an opening bottomhole and installation of a permanent support in a mine. At the same time a bottomhole of an unloading cavity is made as stepped with a distance between adjacent steps of unloading cavity steps equal to a pitch of opening bottomhole shift. The width of the unloading cavity step is adopted as less than the limit bay of the opening roof rocks, which, when exceeded, results in its caving above the unloading cavity. Number of unloading cavity bottomhole steps is determined using a mathematical expression.;EFFECT: increased safety of works when driving and fixation of openings in outburst-prone seams.;4 dwg
