DEVICE FOR TESTING IN THE RESEARCH NUCLEAR REACTOR OF TVELS IN THE MODE OF PULSE POWER INCREASE

A device for testing fuel rods in a research nuclear reactor in the mode of pulsed power increase, located in two independent channels of the reactor, and in one of the channels a suspension with fuel rods and an annular working body held by a drive electromagnet, consisting of three rigidly connected parts in height, is placed, and its upper and the lower parts are the same in height and contain the same amount of absorbing material, in the second channel a working body held by an electromagnet of the drive is also placed, consisting in height of three rigidly connected parts, and the heights of these parts are equal to the heights of the corresponding parts of the working body in the first channel, but only the middle part of the working body contains absorbing material in an amount that ensures equality in the introduced reactivity with the upper and lower parts of the working body in the first channel, while in the initial state the lower part of the working member of the first channel shields the tested fuel elements.
