FIELD: construction.;SUBSTANCE: method includes water pumping from canal bed into water intake of stationary pump station down to minimum possible level, cleaning of bed from sediment load with its widening and deepening by single-bucket excavator with side earthwork into bank to generate surface cross section and subsurface soil excavating from under water as working face moves down the stream. Canal reconstruction is done with sections limited by temporary earth bridges. Besides water is previously additionally pumped from section down to minimum possible level by mobile pump station with water discharge downstream bottom bridge in direction towards stationary pump station. At the same time canal bed reconstruction at upper section is carried out simultaneously with additional water pumping from the following lower section, and bridge opening between them is done after upper section reconstruction is completed, as levels of water at upper and lower sections are equal. Length of each reconstructed section is determined by mathematical formula.;EFFECT: improved quality of works and efficiency of excavator when excavating soil from under water with lower depth, which prevents underflooding of adjacent agricultural lands in vegetation period.;2 dwg
