FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: electrochemical system for determining concentration of an analyte in a sample comprises a sensor strip, which includes a substrate, a first electrode on the said substrate, having a first layer on a first conductor lying on the substrate, where the first layer has average initial thickness less than 30 mcm. The first layer includes a binder which forms a diffusion barrier layer and this diffusion barrier layer has inner volume, and a second electrode on the said substrate, and a measuring device which is electrically connected to the said first electrode through the said first conductor and electrically connected to the said second electrode through a second conductor. The measuring device transmits a reading pulse with duration shorter than 5 seconds to the said first and second electrodes.;EFFECT: reduced errors caused by components of the sample such as erythrocytes and deviations during the production process.;33 cl, 15 dwg, 2 tbl
