FIELD: information technologies.;SUBSTANCE: basic station has a possibility to search for cells of all mobile stations, having frequency bands that vary in width to carry out communications in a communications system with scaled bandwidth, in which a method of multi-frequency communications is applied, such as OFDM method. The basic station comprises the following: a unit of modulation to modulate data after coding; a unit of a subcarrier installation for installation of one subcarrier onto a subcarrier, which generates an OFDM symbol to transfer data, and a unit to generate an OFDM symbol. The subcarrier installation unit installs one of subcarriers, which has frequency of common multiple between a subcarrier interval and a cell search interval, as a subcarrier.;EFFECT: increased efficiency of transfer.;4 cl, 5 dwg
