FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: at the inlet of the working part of the tunnel in front of the investigated model of the wing linked to an aerodynamic balance and a drive for reciprocal-rotation-vibration motion of the wing about its longitudinal axis there is an array of parallel profiles which are also driven into reciprocal-rotation-vibration motion by a separate drive. During operation of the main ventilator of the aerodynamic tunnel, oscillation of the profiles of the array results in deviation of the stream from the axis of the working part of the tunnel thereby creating a wavy flow around the model in a wide range of nonsteady flow conditions with possibility of changing the current angle of attack α of the investigated wing relative approach flow from 0 to ±360° by controlling amplitude, oscillation frequency and phase shift of drives.;EFFECT: possibility of conducting experimental investigation of nonsteady aerodynamics of a flapping wing.;1 dwg
