The unit has a retrograde type indicator (1) moving next to a scale (2), where relevant indications (24, 25) displayed by the scale are modified periodically in an automatic way by the unit. The indicator is arranged to move along the scale in two opposite directions (A, B). The scale is arranged to change indications at each inversion of direction of displacement of the indicator such that the indicator points toward the relevant indications. The two indications are displayed by the indicator during displacements in direction.
