The device has a case (2) inserted at interior of a metallic tube (10), and an active transponder (3) housed in the case. The active transponder is equipped with an electronic circuit, a battery and a folded dipole type antenna. The antenna is realized in a manner to generate maximum electric field along longitudinal axis of the tube. A reflector element is placed at a side of the case, and is constituted by a metallic disk. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a metallic tube comprising an antenna (2) a method for electronic marking of metallic tubes, during constitution of a building.
