The device has a punch provided with an overflow hole (5) for a seizure of a glass joint of a watch. The punch is provided with a cylindrical support (8) assuring installation and positioning of the glass joint of the watch on the punch. A final part of the punch comprises a tooth whose cylindrical diameter is greater than diameter of the glass joint of the watch. A ring is provided with an engagement cone (6) permitting contraction of the glass joint of the watch during downswinging of the punch.
