The timepiece has a flyback mechanism, and a kinematic chain whose clutch part moves between engaged and disengaged positions in which a mobile part i.e. chronograph wheel (12), is driven and not driven by an energy source, respectively. A control unit acts on a mobile part positioning unit to control the return of the mobile part to a preset position and bring the clutch part to the disengaged position. The clutch part is constantly maintained in the engaged position. The mobile part is driven continuously except when the control unit is actuated. The clutch part is formed by an intermediate wheel (14) and a lever (16).
