By means of a method for preventing overheating damage to a thermal solar system

The method involves monitoring a fluid circuit (3) after interruption of a circulating pump (7) by a pressure gauge (12) from the existence of vapor in the fluid circuit. The circulating pump is locked against resetting while the vapor in the fluid circuit is detected. Pressure changes in the fluid circuit are detected in the form of drains of a pressure profile after a period. A plant-specific parameter is considered during determination of criterion for locking and releasing of the circulating pump.
