The brake has a diameter large and/or thicker brake disk (5) positioned at an expanded bridge-like mounting during utilization of a serial-back gauge housing (3) in a vehicle. Augmented brake pads (2, 4) are positioned under the serial-back gauge housing, and the bridge-like mounting is provided between the serial-back gauge housing and a wheel bearing housing. A connecting bolt connects the brake pads, the serial-back gauge housing and the brake disc, and the bridge-like mounting is retrofitted by an intermediate piece and an outer part.
