The device (B) has a robot unit with a displaceable end member (EG) that is kinematically coupled with a base (BA) and rotatable around a rotation axis (A6). A spindle unit (SE) includes a working-spindle that is rotatable around a spindle axis (SA), where the spindle unit is fastened to the end member. The working-spindle has a tool holder (WA) retaining a rotation tool at a free end. The spindle axis is engaged opposite to the rotation axis in a diagonal angle of incidence in such a manner that the rotation axis cuts the spindle axis at distance before the holder. An independent claim is also included for a processing method for deburring and/or chamfering profile edges at gear wheels.
