The component i.e. assembly carrier (10), has a plastic part (16), and a metallic carrier part (12) surrounded in sections by the plastic part. A partial surface of the component is formed by the carrier part and the plastic part. The carrier part exhibits a passage opening which is engaged by the plastic part. A reinforcement bar extending away from a surface of the carrier part toward surface-normals is formed in an edge area of the passage opening by the plastic part, where the carrier part has a flange. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a hybrid component.
