Radiation protection wall for shielding of low-energetic radiation such as X-ray radiation, comprises transparent or opaque plates, which are melted from treated, cleaned and recycled glass granulate of cathode-ray tubes with high purity
The radiation protection wall (1) comprises transparent or opaque plates (3), which are melted from treated, cleaned and recycled glass granulate of cathode-ray tubes with high purity, are joined to a wall assembly (2), are glued at the joints (4) or inserted or glued in a supporting frame and are smooth or profiled at the outer sides, which form the joints during connecting the plates, so that the profile of one plate positively fits in the profile of the surrounding plates present in the wall assembly. The glass granulate of the cathode-ray tubes contains metal oxide. The radiation protection wall (1) comprises transparent or opaque plates (3), which are melted from treated, cleaned and recycled glass granulate of cathode-ray tubes with high purity, are joined to a wall assembly (2), are glued at the joints (4) or inserted or glued in a supporting frame and are smooth or profiled at the outer sides, which form the joints during connecting the plates, so that the profile of one plate positively fits in the profile of the surrounding plates present in the wall assembly. The glass granulate of the cathode-ray tubes contains metal oxide, in which the atomic weight of the metal of the metal oxide is equal or larger than its ions. The supporting frame is framed in a horizontal and vertical manner, where a horizontal supporting frame or a vertical supporting frame is contained in the wall. The plates are produced as clear transparent plates from pure funnel glass of cathode-ray tubes, and are produced from screen glass of cathode-ray tubes.
