The grid has an optical series arrangement (10) provided with optical elements (12) e.g. lens and diffractive optical elements, and attached to a light transmitter and a light receiver. The elements are held at a distance via intermediate elements (18), which are designed in a flexible manner so that equidistance of the optical elements is adjustable to increased equidistance by lateral traction forces. The intermediate elements are made of metal or elastomer. The optical elements are designed as tubes and apertures and held in a holder (14) of a plastic carrier (16). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing the light grid.
