The process for laser beam welding of components (10, 12) using n number of laser beams (20', 20"), two of which are synchronously pulsed, comprises arranging the components along a circular abutment edge (24) to be welded in regular intervals, rotating the laser beams and the components to be welded relative to each other, where the entire welding process persists a laser pulse duration T. The components to be welded is rotated at an angle of 360[deg] /n relative to the laser beams during the laser pulse duration, so that a complete circular welding seam consisting of n sections is formed. The process for laser beam welding of components (10, 12) using n number of laser beams (20', 20"), two of which are synchronously pulsed, comprises arranging the components along a circular abutment edge (24) to be welded in regular intervals, rotating the laser beams and the components to be welded relative to each other, where the entire welding process persists a laser pulse duration T. The components to be welded is rotated at an angle of 360[deg] /n relative to the laser beams during the laser pulse duration, so that a complete circular welding seam consisting of n sections is formed, and is rotated at an angle larger than 360[deg] /n relative to the laser beams during the laser pulse duration, so that n overlapping regions develop along the welding seam. The welding process persists successive laser pulse periods, where the welding seam is repeatedly overcoated by the laser radiation. The successive laser pulses have different powers. The welding process persists an individual laser pulse period long, where the laser pulse is modulated, so that its power temporally varies. The welding process is occasionally carried out under protective gas.
