A friction pad (1) comprises partial ceramic matrix (2) of pyrolyzed preceramic polymer with embedded fillers and two excellent layers (I,III). The former layer is a disc tribological cooperating friction layer and the latter layer is a vibration-damping shock layer. Each layer includes one or multiple function-specific fillers (3,4,5,6,7). A third layer (II) in form of one or multiple function-specific fillers containing thermal insulation layer is formed between the former friction layer and damping layer. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing friction pad, which involves stacking and laminating multiple layers based on preceramic polymer.
