The method involves guiding an insertion web (26) from a preceding drying cylinder (2) at a reverse roller (24) to a next drying cylinder. The insertion web of 1 m width is detached from the preceding drying cylinder. A blowing device for releasing the insertion web from the preceding drying cylinder is arranged opposite to an open roller gap between the preceding drying cylinder and a dry wire. A perforated roller, an unperforated, grilled roller or perforated and grilled roller are used as the reverse roller. An independent claim is also included for a system for wireless feeding of web into a single-wire extension of a dryer section of a fiber web machine.
