The transfer device (10) has a pulsed driven feed conveyor (11), which feeds multiple products (P) in a row of a transfer area, and has a transfer unit (15), by which a group of multiple products are removed from feed conveyor and deposited in cells (Z) of a continuously driven conveyor device (33). The product stack is formed in the cells of the continuously driven conveyor device. Another pulsed driven feed conveyor (12) feeds multiple products in another row of the transfer area. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming product stack.
