The method involves determining an intersection point (24) corresponding to a straight line (S1) connecting a middle point of an intermediate point (14) and a starting point (12). Another intersection point (26) is determined on another straight line (S2) connecting a middle point of the intermediate point and an end point (16). A continuous line is formed from third straight line (18) connecting the intermediate and starting points, a curved line (22) connecting the intersection points with each other, and a fourth straight line (20) connecting the latter point with the end point. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for operating a driving simulator (2) a computer program product with a set of instructions for performing a method for obtaining a model for a course of a road surface section.
