Plain bearing formed as composite structure, comprises a part formed from carbon fiber reinforced silcion carbide and a sliding layer formed on tribiologically and oxidatively stressed sliding surface
The plain bearing formed as composite structure, comprises a part formed from carbon fiber reinforced silcion carbide and a sliding layer formed on tribiologically and oxidatively stressed sliding surface. The sliding layer is formed with a copper-tin-alloy in which the portion of copper and tin is 60% and the carbon-reinforced silicon carbide is connected with the copper-tin-alloy in material- and/or positive fit manner. The copper-tin-alloy consists of 0.5-20 mass% and further alloy element is contained in the copper-tin-alloy. The maximum portion of the alloy element in the copper-tin-alloy is 19.5 mass%. Titanium carbide is present in the sliding layer reactively formed between the carbon fiber reinforced silcion carbide and the sliding layer. The carbon fiber reinforced silcion carbide and the copper-tin-alloy are connected to each other at further areas near to the sliding layer in material- and/or positive fit manner. The part from the carbon fiber reinforced silcion carbide forms a core that is completely surrounded by the copper-tin-alloy. A solid lubricant is present in the sliding layer. An independent claim is included for a method for the production of a plain bearing.
