The device (1) has a feeding station (2) for accommodating a stack of plate-like workpieces (3), and a processing station (4) for processing the workpieces. A conveying and processing portal (5) conveys the workpieces from the feeding station to the processing station. A suction frame includes a number of suction elements (6) lying at a surface of the workpieces and is provided at the portal. The suction elements completely lift one of the workpieces from the stack. The suction frame includes frame profiles, and the suction elements are fixed to the frame profiles.
