The tool e.g. hand power tool (1), has a baseplate (5) placed on a work surface, and an indication part (8) provided with a cut line marking and arranged at the baseplate. The cut line marking is adjustably held at the baseplate. The indication part is adjusted between an operating position and a non-operating position and partly pre-mounted in the baseplate in processing and/or feeding direction (7) in the operating position. The indication part is completely arranged above the baseplate in the non-operating position and made of a transparent material i.e. transparent plastic.
