The lock has a locking mechanism provided with a rotary catch (1), pawl (2) and a blocking lever (3), where the blocking lever and the pawl are constituted such that the blocking lever blocks the pawl in a preliminary locking position and in a main locking position by latching units i.e. lever arms (2a, 2b). Notches e.g. latching grooves (3b), for blocking the pawl are arranged at a side of the blocking lever, where the side faces the pawl. The lever arms extend from a pawl-rotational axis (2c) in opposite directions.
