The wind power plant has a suspension pole (1), at which a wind rotor (3) is fixed in a rotating manner. The wind rotor obtains a generator current which is conveyed in a current network. A local monitoring device (9) is provided in the periphery of the wind power plant after overhung birds or animals, by which a control unit (11) is controllable for the rotating wind rotor.
