The system has machine tool-groups (14, 14') provided with multiple of processing- stations (12, 12a-12c) or centers and drivable transport devices (16). The transport devices are attached to the groups and utilized for supplying a raw-work piece (R) to the processing stations and for discharging a work-piece (W) that is processed by the processing stations. The transport devices comprise work-piece places (42a-42d), where number of the work-piece places is larger than the number of processing stations around one.
