The both mold recesses mutually define a shape of a casting part producible with the casting tool in a closed state of the mold halves. A latch section is movably mounted onto one of the fastening sub-units. The sand casting tool comprises a first mold half (10) and a second mold half (30), which have a mold recess and are movable against each other in an opening direction and closing direction (2), and fastening units (40) having a first fastening sub-unit fixedly provided at the first mold half and a second fastening sub-unit fixedly provided at the second mold half. The both mold recesses mutually define a shape of a casting part producible with the casting tool in a closed state of the mold halves. A latch section is movably mounted onto one of the fastening sub-units. The latch section is displaceable between a coupling point, in which it causes a positive coupling of the mold halves against the closing direction together with a counter section at the second fastening sub-unit, and a releasing point, in which it allows a relative movement of the mold halves against the closing direction, with the closed mold halves. The fastening units are provided with respective latch section, and are arranged, so that the first mold recess extends to both sides of the first fastening sub-unit. Two of the fastening units are actively connected with one another over a mechanical coupling member, so that they are reversible together between a coupling state, in which the respective latch sections are present in their coupling point, and a releasing state, in which the respective latch sections are present in their releasing point and so that simultaneously the coupling state and/or releasing state of the fastening units are caused over a displacement of the coupling member. The fastening unit is formed as hydraulically, pneumatically or electrically switchable fastening unit. The fastening unit receives a separating force of 20 kN between the mold halves. The fastening unit is formed and is fixed to the mold halves, so that a transfer of one latch section is initially possible in the coupling point when the mold halves are pressed to each other with an external prestressed force. The match section is rotatably mounted on the first fastening sub-unit around a rotating axis extending parallel to the closing direction. several assembly devices are provided on the first mold half for introducing the fastening sub-unit. Fastening rails, on which the first fastening sub-unit is displaceable, extend orthogonal to the closing direction, are provided onto the first mold half and are provided for the first and second fastening sub-units. Passage holes are provided in one of the mold halves and extend from a side turned away from the respective mold recess up to into the respective mold recess parallel to the opening and closing directions. The casting tool has a nozzle unit, in which nozzles are provided corresponding to the passage holes. The second fastening sub-unit is fixedly provided at the nozzle unit and is provided for fixing the nozzle unit to the mold halves. The latch section is displaceable between a coupling point, in which it causes a positive coupling of the nozzle unit to the mold halves together with the counter section at the second fastening sub-unit, and a releasing point, in which it allows a relative movement of the nozzle unit against the mold halves. An independent claim is included for a casting machine for producing casting parts.
