The instrument has a handle and a jaw part (1) for gripping an object, where the jaw part comprises fingers (2), which extend from a common connecting region (3) to a free end (4). The jaw part is closable by pressure actuation of an outer operating region (5) of the fingers. The operating region is fixed between a support (6) and the free end of the fingers. The fingers are tiltable to the free end in a closing movement during pressure actuation and under effect of the support. The support is reciprocally formed at the fingers.
