The method involves plugging a clutch body (3) with an interior opening (5) and a seat (4) of a gear wheel (2) in axial direction. The clutch body is axially secured against a plugging or joining direction and locked with the seat of the gear wheel by a snap connection. An annular groove (8) is attached with an exterior surface of a bead (6) and opened at a front side of the clutch body, where the bead is radially displaced under expansion. An independent claim is also included for a two-piece component comprising a gear wheel and a clutch body.
