The unit has an electric motor installed on an electrically conductive carrier (12) and exhibiting a stator (18). A conduction component i.e. damping element (14) such as self-adhesive pad, is partly made of an electrically conductive material and allows an electrical coupling e.g. capacitive coupling, of the stator to the carrier. The conduction component is elastically deformed and exhibits self adhesive foam. The conduction component is arranged between a transmission case (16) of the unit and the carrier.
