The device (V) has a hand-held wrenching tool i.e. torque wrench (1), exerting a torsional force on a work piece (2), where the torque wrench is formed as a mechanical torque wrench, electronic torque wrench or mechatronical torque wrench. A changeable checking nut (3) connected with the wrenching tool by plug-in- or snap-fit connection, and sectionally fixes the work piece. The checking nut has a masculine connecting section (4) pushed into a shape-complementary female connection region (5) i.e. square recess, of the wrenching tool.
