The frame (1) has two module rails (9), which are attached on or between two adjacent horizontal carriers in a north-south direction. An end of two ground supports (5) lies on different levels over a ground base with two lines (3a, 3b). One of the horizontal carriers runs below another one of the horizontal carriers. The module rails run inclined towards the south to the ground base. Photovoltaic modules (11) are mounted at the module rails by clamps without a clamp-conditioned inclination angle. The supports, the rails and the carriers are made of metal. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a support frame.
