The cartridge (10) has a hollow cylindrical base body (12) opened on one side and closed by a movable base (16) for receiving pasty mass. The base body comprises an outlet opening (20) at a side that lies opposite to an open end (14) of the body. An actuating element e.g. threaded rod (22), extends parallel to a longitudinal axis of the base body and loads the base with a traction force in a direction of the outlet opening during operation, where the base body comprises a bar (24) on a casing inner surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for using a spray cartridge.
