The mechanism (10) has an actuator (14) for moving a component (12) e.g. front flap and/or bonnet, of an outer shell of a vehicle i.e. automobile, during collision. A hinge (20) enables tiltable guidance of a movable component. The movable component is provided with a lower hinge upper part (28) and an upper hinge upper part (30). A detachable and re-connectable coupling is arranged between the upper hinge upper part and the lower hinge upper part by a connecting device e.g. handle (42).
