The tool has teeth (1) producing a tooth work at a workpiece. The teeth exhibit a tooth reference line (5), which stands perpendicular to a rotation axis of the workpiece or to a longitudinal-or rotational axis of the tool. The teeth are limited by left and right tooth flanks (2, 3). Profile angle (alphapol) of the left tooth flanks is different from a profile angle (alphapor) of the right tooth flanks. Cutting edges of the teeth are determined in a geometrical manner, where the tooth flanks are inclined to the tooth reference line. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a beveloid-tooth work.
