The system (2) has an instrument (4a) designed in the form of a camera system, and another instrument (4b) designed in the form of a supporting structure. The former instrument includes components (12a-12c) in the form of cameras and lighting capsules. The latter instrument includes components (12d-12f). The components are individually insertable one after another into an interior (8) of a patient (6) in a transport state (T). The instruments are transformable from the transport state into a working state (A) to perform a medical procedure in which the components cooperate in a system form. An independent claim is also included for a method for introducing a medical instrument into an interior of a patient by a minimally invasive access.
